INTERNATIONAL POST MINING SYMPOSIUM

Our Association, together with the Association of Mining Engineers Professional Development Association, Paris Post Mining Network Association, Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University and Mining Turkey Magazine, will organize the "International Post Mining Symposium" in May 2024.

In Europe, it is seen that rehabilitation and land reclamation issues have been resolved as post mining activities and the focus is on industrial heritage, architectural structures and socio-economic activities. For this reason, the symposium is being organized in Zonguldak, where industrial heritage is the best practice in Turkey, in cooperation with Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University and Madencilik Türkiye Magazine.

Post Mining Network Association-Chaire Post Minier", based in Paris, was established in October 2022 by a total of 14 institutions (NGO, Public, University) from different countries together with MMMMGD (https://postminingacclimatization.com/post-mining-network-en). The aim of the association is to create an international network of partners including universities, research institutions, regional and local authorities, cultural institutions, associations, foundations, private organizations and communities of practice to promote and document research and activities related to post-mining activities, knowledge transfer and experience sharing. The Association focuses on activities related to landscape advertising, architecture, urban planning, design, socio-economics, cultural and industrial heritage during and after mining.
