Geological Assembly of Turkey "Disaster Resilient Cities"

The Geological Congress of Turkey, organized annually by TMMOB Chamber of Geological Engineers, was held for the 76th time in Ankara. At the opening of the congress, which was held at the MTA Sadrettin Alpan Hall on April 15-19, 2024 with the slogan "Disaster Resistant Cities", the Presidents of AFAD and TÜBİTAK, MTA Deputy General Manager Haşim AĞRILI and Chamber of Geological Engineers President Hüseyin ALAN were the keynote speakers.
Our Board Member Sait UYSAL's presentation titled "Graphite Dynamics: China's Dominance, Export Controls, Value Chain Strategies and Turkey's Potential" presentation, "Lateritic and Chromite Enrichments in Hınıs Metaophioilites" prepared by our members Fatih GÜLKAYA and Beyzade KAYGISIZ together with Özgür DEĞİRMENCİ and Fuat Uygur KAYA, Our member Fatih ÖZGÜL's poster presentation titled "Studies on Accelerating Production by Creating a Three Dimensional Geological Model in Avgamasya (Şırnak) Asphaltite Quarries" prepared in collaboration with Mehmet ÖZÇELİK was followed with interest.
