TMMOB MMO YTK SMMH WORKSHOP

On April 22, 2025, TMMOB Chamber of Mining Engineers held the “Workshop on YTK and SMMH” where the problems and solution proposals experienced in YTK (Authorized Legal Persons) and SMMH (Certified Public Accountant Services) practices were discussed.

In the first session after the opening speech, Mr. Ekrem CENGİZ, Geological Engineer Mr. Fatih AKSOY (MAPEG) made presentations titled “The Purpose of Establishment of PTO, Implementation and Problems Arising”, Geological Engineer and Lawyer Mr. Hayri ÖZSOY made presentations titled “Legal Status of PTO, Criminal and Legal Responsibilities of PTOs”.

The second session was chaired by Mr. R. Erşat AKYAZILI; Mining Engineer Mr. Selami LELOĞLU presented “Problems Arising from Legislation and Their Reflection on the Activities of the Boards”, Prof. Dr. Bahtiyar ÜNVER (H.Ü.) presented “Similar Practices of Boards in the World and Audit Model”.

In the afternoon panel, the speakers were Prof. Dr. Bahtiyar ÜNVER (H.Ü.), Mr. Hayri ÖZSOY, Mr. Kamil AYYILDIZ and Mr. Fatih AKSOY (MAPEG), Mr. Asım AKSOY chaired the session.

In the workshop, Mr. Bahtiyar ÜNVER's examples from the practices in the world provided an opportunity to compare with the practice in our country. The presentations of the other speakers were generally about the problems arising from legislation and practices. In the panel, the problems arising from the legislation and the legal problems experienced in practice since the Authorized Legal Persons (ALPs) started to operate were discussed in all aspects and solution proposals were put forward.
