MMMGD General Assembly Meeting

MMMGD Ordinary General Assembly was held on 26.01.2025, the second meeting day, due to the lack of majority on 19.1.2025. 21 members attended the meeting where the Board of Directors and Audit Boards were discharged and the budget for the years 2025-2027 was approved. At the meeting, with the amendment of the bylaws, it was decided to increase the number of members of the Board of Directors to 11, to accept mining and geosciences professionals as full members, to change the short name of the Association from “MAYEM” to “MINE AND EARTH SCIENCE PROFESSIONALS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION”. Other decisions taken; among the honorary members, it was decided to accept the applications of those who applied for full membership on the date of the General Assembly and to allow them to be candidates for the Board of Directors, to publish a magazine called “Mining and After”, to make the Association a member of international associations and unions, to establish an “Ethics Committee” within the Association for cooperation, to classify full members with 5 years of actual experience in their field of expertise as “Experienced Members”, to authorize the Board of Directors to determine the date when the application will start.
