Mining Sector and Finance Conference

Two panels were organized within the scope of the event. The moderator of the panel titled “Turkish Mining Sector and Its Place in the World” was Mr. Halil İbrahim KIRŞAN, President of TOBB Mining Assembly, and the speakers were Mr. Vedat YANIK, General Manager of MTA, Mr. Hasan YÜCEL, President of AMD, Mr. Mehmet YILMAZ, President of TMD, and Mr. Ali EMİROĞLU, Vice President of YMGV. The second panel titled “Alternative Financing Methods in the Mining Sector” was moderated by Mr. Hakan YILDIRIM from DMT and the speakers were Mr. Uğur YAYLAÖNÜ, Vice Chairman of CMB, Mr. Bülent AYDOĞAR, Listing Director of Borsa Istanbul, Mr. Reha PAMİR, Corporate Finance Director of İş Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.S.

In the session “UMREK and Reporting Standards in Mining”, Prof. Dr. Atiye TUĞRUL (Lecturer at Istanbul University- Cerrahpaşa Geological Engineering Department and CRIRSCO Country Representative), Prof. Dr. Recep BİLDİK (Lecturer at Istanbul Commerce University Faculty of Business Administration), Jale ŞAKIYAN ATEŞ (Environment and Sustainability Group Manager at TÜPRAG and UMREK Member) were the speakers. Arda AKARSU (Executive Board Member of Asko Holding), Ümit URFALIOĞLU (Head of Corporate Loans Allocation and Management Department of Ziraat Bank), Bilge KÜÇÜKAYTAN (TÜMAD Mining Integrated Management Systems and Sustainability Manager) were the speakers of the session “Banking in the Financing of the Mining Sector”. The final session was on the role of the Canadian Stock Exchange in Financing Mining Companies. Speeches were given by experts from the Canadian Stock Exchange. The meeting was concluded with a closing speech.
