Maden-Tek 2024, Mining Industry Technology Days, “Future Technologies Meet Turkish Miners

Organized for the second time this year, “Maden-Tek 2024, Mining Industry Technology Days” was held on 12-13 December 2024 at Hacettepe University Beytepe Campus Tunçalp Özgen Congress Center with the slogan “Technologies of the Future Meet Turkish Miners”. Many companies applying advanced technologies in our country participated in the fair and mining technologies presentations were made under the moderation of the members of the Association of Women in the Mining Sector for two days.

In the event; “Technological Outlook of Public Institutions” panel was moderated by Ms. Leman ÇETİNER (Head of Natural Resources Department of MENR) with speeches by Mr. Haşim AĞRILI (MTA Deputy General Manager), Ms. Derya MARAŞLIOĞLU (Eti Maden Deputy General Manager), Mr. Mustafa Mert AYAZ (TKİ Deputy General Manager) and Mr. Fatih DUMANLI (MAPEG Deputy General Manager).

The topics and moderators of the 12 sessions spread over two days were as follows: Current State of Technology in Mining (Ms. Sümeyra EŞGÜN), Artificial Intelligence and Natural Resources (Ms. Serap ARICIOĞLU İLHAN), Smart Process Technologies (Ms. Funda GÖKÇE), Geographic Information Systems & Resource Modeling (Ms. Mediha KILIÇ), Productivity Increase and Sustainability (Ms. Meryem TEKOL PELENK), Innovative Technologies -(Ms. Banu ÇOLAK), Data Collection & Evaluation (Ms. Özgül ERTUNÇ), Future Technology (Gülin AKÇAY), Automation & Optimization (Elif DAĞTEKİN), Occupational Safety and Risk Management (Ms. Merve BOZDEMİR ÜNER), Digital Transformation in Production (Ms. Tuğba GÜLTEKİN ATAMAN) and Featured Topics in Turkey (Ms. Zehra DEVECİ ARAL).

“Digital Transformation in Production” session was moderated by our member Ms. Tuğba ATAMAN, ‘Gasification Technologies and the Future of Coal Gasification’ presentation was made by our member Dr. Metin AKTAN, ‘From Data to Action in Mineral Processing: Deep Analysis Methods with Technology 5.0’ presentation was made by our member Dr. Tuğcan TUZCU, ‘Digital Transformation Processes in Analysis Laboratories’ presentation was made by our member Mr. Abdullah BUHUR, ”Cornerstones of High Technology: Technology Minerals and Mines” presentation was made by our member Mr. Sait UYSAL. Our association continues to be active in the professional development activities of our country.
