THROUGH THE LENS OF A MINING PROFESSIONAL

As it is known, our Association; Mining Engineers Professional Development Association (MMMGD) was established in Ankara on 03.09.2021 with the registration number 06-145-088 to strive for the "continuous professional development" of mining engineers.
Taking photographs is also seen as a part of professional development, whether the subject is professional or not. While the photographs selected as a result of the photography competitions of our professional chambers and other institutions and the photography exhibitions opened with them are shown as important artistic activities, they are also important professional development activities.
A work whose subject is mining is a photograph of a coal washing plant, one of the masterpieces of Turkish photography. It was taken by Fikret OTYAM, who is one of Turkey's values in the art of painting, interview and photography and can be called a renaissance artist.
In order to enable our members to use hobby, culture and art elements in their professional development; we collected the photos taken by our association members and supporters at the end of 2022 in order to use them in our calendars, to make a photo album and to exhibit them. We want to repeat this event every year.
Mining, geoscience, nature and human photographs taken during exploration, production, mine and facility visits can provide the best examples of the art of photography. Sharing your photos with your fellow angels will be a part of your professional development and theirs. We are already waiting for your photos for the 2023 album.
