The green energy paradigm, digitalization, and developments in renewable energy, which continue to shape global economic and political dynamics, are also becoming increasingly decisive in the mining sector. In particular, rare earth elements and critical-strategic minerals are emerging as key priorities in the political and economic agendas of many countries.

In this context, the Istanbul Branch of the Chamber of Mining Engineers of Turkey (TMMOB) will organize the “Critical and Strategic Minerals Workshop” on December 2, 2025, at Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Mines, Ihsan Ketin Conference Hall, to evaluate these transformations and present future projections.

The workshop will also address the report published by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Türkiye, which identifies 37 critical-strategic minerals. The event will feature distinguished experts in the field and conclude with an evaluation session and forum.
