IKAZ Climate Development Summit 2024

The IKAZ Climate Development Summit 2024, organized by the International Environmental Communication Association (ICCIA) in Ankara on 23 December 2024, was held with the participation of Minister of Trade Mr. Ömer BOLAT. At the meeting, which was held with the slogan “There will be a price for not changing in a changing world”, UÇİD President Ms. Sevda GÜNER, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Mr. Abdullah TANCAN and Azerbaijan Ambassador to Turkey Dr. Reşad MEMMEDOV made opening speeches. Mr. Hasan YÜCEL (TÜMAD) on Mining Sector and Ms. Pelin Usta ÖZKAYHAN (Centerragold) on Women's Leadership expressed their views on the summit topic.

In the afternoon, “Investment Financing and Climate”, “Public Policies and Turkey's Road Map” and “Sectors NGOs” sessions were held. Mr. Zafer BENLİ, General Manager of EÜAŞ, Mr. Uğur YAYLAÖNÜ, Vice Chairman of CMB, Mr. Halil İbrahim KIRŞAN, Chairman of TOBB Mining Assembly and experts of the subject took part in the sessions with their speeches.

Our Association was represented at the summit by Mr. Ahmet İBUK, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.
