Natural Stone and Mining Sector Meeting (Elazığ): The "Natural Stone and Mining Sector Meeting" organized by TÜMMER and EMMAD (Elazığ Marble and Miners Association) in Elazığ on June 1, 2024, continued with the "Mining, Forestry and Environmental Legislation Panel" after the opening speeches of TÜMMER President Mr. Hanefi ŞİMŞEK, EMMAD President Mr. Ali SEYRAN and Vice President of the Mining Development Foundation of Turkey Mr. Ali EMİROĞLU. In the panel moderated by Mr. Halil İbrahim KIRŞAN, President of TOBB Mining Assembly, Mr. Fatih DUMANLI, Deputy General Manager of MAPEG, Mr. Ahmet KÖLE, Head of Permit and Easement Department of General Directorate of Forestry, Mr. Fatih SELİMOĞLU, Head of Industrial Investments EIA Department of General Directorate of EIA, TMD ManagementNatural Stone and Mining Sector Meeting (Elazığ): The "Natural Stone and Mining Sector Meeting" organized by TÜMMER and EMMAD (Elazığ Marble and Miners Association) in Elazığ on June 1, 2024 continued with the "Mining, Forestry and Environmental Legislation Panel" after the opening speeches of TÜMMER President Mr. Hanefi ŞİMŞEK, EMMAD President Mr. Ali SEYRAN and Vice President of the Mining Development Foundation of Turkey Mr. Ali EMİROĞLU.The panel was moderated by Mr. Halil İbrahim KIRŞAN, Chairman of the TOBB Mining Assembly and the speakers were Mr. Fatih DUMANLI, Deputy General Manager of MAPEG, Mr. Ahmet KÖLE, Head of Permit and Easement Department of the General Directorate of Forestry, Mr. Fatih SELİMOĞLU, Head of Industrial Investments EIA Department of the General Directorate of EIA, Mr. Mehmet YILMAZ, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TMD and Spokesperson of the Mining Platform, and Mr. Fahrettin ÇAĞDAŞ, Chairman of Diyarbakır Marble and Miners Association.
Panel speakers presented their views on legislation and practices related to their respective subjects. After the questions from the participants were answered and criticisms and opinions were received, the meeting was concluded.
Mr. Mehmet ÇELİKDEMİR, a member of the Board of Directors of our Association, attended the Natural Stone and Mining Sector Meeting and contributed to the meeting with his views on "the need for a new perspective" after Mine Closure. Our Association was represented at the meeting together with our member Mr. Mehmet Oğuz GÜNER, who is the Ankara Representative of YMGV.
