Symposium on Mining in the 100th Year of the Republic

Our Association has decided to organize a "Symposium on Mining in the 100th Year of the Republic".

Due to its symbolic importance, the symposium was planned to be held in the MTA "Sadrettin Alpan Hall" and to be held on October 29, 2023, the Founding Day of the Republic. The symposium will be held on Monday, October 30, 2023 due to the fact that October 29 is a Sunday, an official holiday, and the conditions at MTA are not very suitable for a Sunday event.

However, it is certain that such an important and meaningful event can achieve its purpose only if it is an event to which public institutions, mining NGOs (corporate and mining professionals), professional dignitaries, universities, media organizations and non-mining NGOs will be invited instead of being held within our Association.

The hall has been allocated by MTA for this event. Our Association believes that the event can be financed by donations and contributions from relevant NGOs. The organization of the event will be undertaken by our Association in line with the decisions of the Executive Committee.

At this stage, we propose that it be organized by a Steering Committee composed of the leading institutions of the sector. The Steering Committee is expected to determine the strategy of the symposium, name the symposium in a way to attract the attention of the media and the public, determine the speakers and panelists, direct media and public relations, and lobby non-mining institutions to be invited.
