Innovative Approaches to Critical Raw Materials Management in the Western Balkans: Opportunities for Economic Growth and Environmental Sustainability
10-11 Haziran 2024At the 7th Macedonian Energy Forum held on June 10-11, 2024 in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, our board member Sait UYSAL participated as a panelist in the panel "Innovative Approaches to Critical Raw Materials Management in the Western Balkans: Opportunities for Economic Growth and Environmental Sustainability", our board member Sait UYSAL participated as a panelist. The panel discussed the potential of the Western Balkans, possible cooperation with the EU and projects such as the Jadar Boron and lithium project in Serbia.
In addition to the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Mr. Hristijan Mickoski and ministers, our Ambassador to Skopje, Mr. Fatih Ulusoy, ambassadors of the USA, the European Union, Germany, France and many other countries participated in the Energy Forum, where the energy policies, risks and future strategies of the Balkans and the European Union and their integration were discussed in a comprehensive manner. In the forum, especially the Western countries' plans to make the Balkans an energy hub as an alternative to Turkey were among the noteworthy topics.
