3rd Mine Rescue Competition

For the first time in Turkey, a mine rescue competition was organized by the Turkish Miners Association. Five rescue teams from different mines competed in realistic scenarios under the supervision of international referees at Tüprag Efemçukuru Gold Mine in Izmir between September 10-13, 2019. In the 1st Mine Rescue Competition; Çayeli Bakır, Esan Eczacıbaşı, Koza Altın, TKİ and Tüprag participated as competitors, while TÜMAD, İmbat Madencilik and Polyak took part as observers.

The 2nd Mine Rescue Competition took place between September 20-23, 2022 at Koza Gold Enterprises, Ovacık Gold Mine (Bergama/İZMİR). Anagol Mining, Çayeli Bakır, Demir Export, ESAN, Koza Altın, Lidya Mining, Polyak Eynez, Tümad, Tüprag, TKİ participated in the 2nd competition as competitors, while Acacia Maden, Dimin Mining, Eti Bakır, Eti Krom, Gübretaş Maden, Gümüştaş Mining, Limak Cement, Dedeman Mining and Öksüt Mining participated as observers.

The 3rd Mine Rescue Competition, organized by the Turkish Miners' Association every two years in order to improve the competencies of the mine search and rescue teams of our country and to strengthen the solidarity between the teams, was held in Tavşanlı/Kütahya between 17-20 September 2024, hosted by TKİ Garp Lignites Enterprise.

A total of 15 teams participated in the event as competitors. It is seen that the participation in the event, where the previous competition participants were 10, will grow and grow.  Competitor teams were ACACIA, ÇAYELİ BAKIR, DEFAŞ, Esan, Eti Krom, Gübretaş, KİAŞ, Koza Altın, Lidya, Öksüt, Polyak Eynez, TKİ, TTK, TÜMAD, TÜPRAG. 

Competitor teams competed in Team Competence, Hazmat (Hazardous Materials), Underground Accident, Surface Subsidence, Surface Fire and Vehicle Accident for four days.
