18th International Mineral Processing Symposium
16-18 Ekim 2024The 18th International Mineral Beneficiation Symposium was organized by Eskisehir Osmangazi University and the Foundation for the Development of Mining in Turkey in Eskisehir on 16-18 October 2024. In the symposium, where more than 60 presentations were made in 21 sessions in two halls, an exhibition related to the sector was also opened.
The presentations titled “UMREK and Mineral Processing”, which is a joint work of our Vice President Ahmet İBUK and the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and “Judicial Approach to the Planning and Environmental Impacts of Mineral Processing and Enrichment Plants” by Kerem CANBAZOĞLU, chairman and member of the Law and Legislation Commission: The Case of Turkey” was presented on October 17, 2024 in Session 7-B and Dr. Tuğcan TUZCU's presentation titled ‘Detailed Mass Balance Development of Heap Leaching Process Using Modeling and Simulation’ was presented on October 18, 2024 in Session 8-B in Manisa Hall.
After the opening speeches of Symposium Chairman Prof. Dr. Volkan BOZKURT and Osmangazi Rector Prof. Dr. Kamil ÇOLAK, the opening of the Exhibition was held after the speech of the main sponsor GÜBRETAŞ General Manager Mr. Semih DEMİRCAN. In the first session moderated by Prof. Dr. Ali İhsan AROL, Mr. Magnus EVERTSSON presented “Optimization of Comprehensive Crushing”, followed by the memorial service for Prof. Dr. Güven ÖNAL, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin ÖZDAĞ and Prof. Dr. Yaşar ÜÇBAŞ.
On the second day of the symposium, October 17, 2024, the Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Mr. Abdullah TANCAN, attended, delivered a speech and opened the exhibition.
In the sessions held in two halls on October 16-18, 2024, presentations on different topics were made by experts in mineral processing.
